San Polo di Piave
The first settlements in the territory of San Polo di Piave were created thanks to the nearby Roman road Opitergium Tridentum which started from Oderzo, ran throught the current location of St. Giorno, Caminada and Tezze in the direction of the hills.

San Polo di Piave can boast in a good agricultural resource: here the first activity is the viticulture, that allows the population to obtain very good and various productions of wine and grapes; the ones of red wines as Merlot, Cabernet and Raboso Piave are best known.
Recently the territory has known a rilevant development in both commercial and industrial market, that highlighted the economic potential of the municipality.

The Ancient church of St. Giorgio is probably the oldest and more significant monument of San Polo di Piave and represents a good reason for visit the entire area of the municipality.
