THE GREAT WAR AT MONTEBELLUNA
Testimonies to the Great War at Montebelluna can be seen starting from the piazza, where a Monument to the Fallen was built, while in the hamlet of Biadene there is the Santa Lucia charnel house.
An interesting feature is the Military Fountain, used for watering the troops and baggage trains that supplied the front during the Solstizio Battle (15-23 June). It is situated on the ridge of Montello between presa XVII and presa XVIII.
Many villas present in the commune like Villa Correr Pisani, Villa Guillon Mangilli and Villa Mora Morassutti were logistic centres of the Italian command.
